投稿標題(英): The Strategies for Prevention and Infection Control of Measles in Central Teaching Hospital.

投稿摘要: Introduction
The outbreaks of measles could be observed in Taiwan and Japan during early 2018. In Taiwan, there are 24 confirmed cases until April 2018. The MMR vaccination plays a critical role in prevention of measles. But, the shortage of vaccine leads to the dilemma of containment. Thus, we launched several strategies and share our experiences on the prevention of measles.
Methods &Materials
First, the staffs from the ER were performed the serologic screening test of measles for the priority of following immunization program. In addition, the prompt laboratory testing result is essential for determination and management of vaccination.
Results
The 45 and 65 employees without past infection (measles IgM negative) of ER or high risk units were selected to receive the booster injection, respectively. Moreover, all suspected cases were reported to CDC. Thus, there is no new case reported since May 2018.
Conclusions
In summary, we should consistently enhance the efforts to against the potential infectious diseases such as measles spread by effective strategies and achieve the goals of patient safety.
