投稿摘要: Introduction: Shigellosis is a food-borne disease transmitted by contaminated water, food, sewage, etc.. Outbreaks had been reported frequently worldwide and in Taiwan, which especially occurred frequently in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, restaurants, etc. Infections by low bacterial inoculum (≦ 102 CFU/ml) and a substantial portion of asymptomatic carriers help to transmit shigellosis silently and difficult to eradicate.
