投稿標題(英): Microbiology Burden Of Nursing Home Residents

投稿摘要: Clinical pathogens in the nursing home setting were not well described. The aim of this study was to study clinical isolates of nursing home residents who visited emergence room from January to June in 2012. Of the 141 patients, 67.4% were 76 years old. Among 44 isolates, urine culture (20), blood culture (11) and sputum cultures (13) were studied. Gram negative bacteria (GNB) 77.3% were the most common pathogens isolated, 50% were E. coli. ESBL bacteria were five. Carbapenemase resistant GNB were three. Our study suggests that antimicrobial resistance of nursing home should be kept alert.
