老人在社區及長照機構細菌感染差異性的研究

Study of elderly in the long term care institutions and community acquired bacterial infections Differences

A retrospective study was collect from 2009 July to 2010 June. Inclusion criteria was more than 65years-old, came to emergency room for infectious disease. Patients were divided according to long term care institutions (LTCI) residents or living in community. We compare the result of urine, sputum and blood culture between two groups. Results: Total 1128 isolates, including 666 from LTCI, 462 from community. From the LTCI elderly, most of the pathogen yielded was E. coli (33.8%) with 53.3% was ESBL, followed by P.aeruginosa (14.1%) with 11.7% was CRPA; K.pneumoniae (13.8%) with 41.3% was ESBL. Among elderly from community, the most isolates is E.coli (36.1%) with 25.7% was ESBL, followed by K. pneumoniae (15.4%) with 16.9% was ESBL; P. aeruginosa (12.3%), with 13.5% was CRPA.
